A fabrication shop does not buy the way a house builder buys. You buy the same four or five sections again and again, you buy them by the piece and by the size rather than by the tonne, and you buy them when a job lands rather than when a stage of a building arrives. Half your calls are for one length of something you ran short of at four in the afternoon.
That is why the rack here is stocked the way it is: depth in the sizes that move, in black and in galvanised, so a workshop in Saharsa, Supaul or Madhepura can take what it needs and come back on Thursday for the same thing. Solar sections are the first pick for grill and gate work at this counter, and have been for years, with a clean finish and straight lengths coming back with no complaints.
The work
The jobs that eat this material
Window grills and safety grills, main gates and small gates, staircase and balcony railings, sheds and their bracing, water tank stands, shop front shutters, and the sign and flex frames that go up before every festival. Between them they run through angle for frames, patti for the flats and the strapping, square and round bar for the fill, and pipe for railings and light frames.
Two things decide what you buy for each of them. The first is whether the piece will stand out in the weather, which is the whole black against galvanised question, and the second is how heavy the frame has to feel to the man paying for it. Both are settled at the counter faster than on paper, which is why fabricators ring rather than write.

Choosing
The sizes that actually move here
A workshop already knows its own sizes, so the useful thing a supplier can do is keep them standing rather than tell you what to use. Where it helps is on the estimate: what a given grill or gate will weigh before you cut it, and which section to put where so the frame does not come out heavier than the customer agreed to pay for. Both are worked through in the grill material size guide and in estimating a grill or gate.
The black against galvanised call is the other one worth getting right, because a gate that will stand in the open for twenty years and a stair railing inside a house are not the same buy. What the zinc actually does, and where paying for it pays back, is in MS and GI, the difference. Solar and the HMB lines both come in the two finishes, so the same size is available either way.
Ordering
How an order runs for a workshop
Ring with the section, the size, the finish and how many lengths. Stock is checked while you are on the call and the morning's rate comes back against that exact size, so you can price the job before you commit to it. If a size is short we say so on the call, and if the name you want is not standing we say on that same call whether it can be brought in.
Loading and delivery run in our own vehicles across all 34 blocks of the three districts, with the carriage at the market rate for the route. Plenty of workshops in the town collect themselves, which is also how you see a section before you buy it. The counter is open All 7 days, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, so a shortfall found late in the afternoon is still a call worth making.

What fabricators ask
Ek do piece ke liye bhi milega?
Yes, one length or a hundred. A workshop that runs short mid job is the commonest call this counter takes, and it is not treated as a nuisance. Ring +91 6202 967 218 with the section and the size and you will know in a minute whether it is standing.
GI section weld karne me kya dhyan rakhna hai?
The zinc burns back at the joint, so the practice in every workshop here is to clean the weld and put zinc rich paint over it before the piece goes out. Plan the cuts so the joints land where they can be reached afterwards. If a job has a lot of welding in it, some fabricators take black and get the finished frame coated instead.
Grill gate ke liye kaun sa brand rakhte hain?
Solar is our first pick for grill and gate work and the one we keep deepest, in angle, patti, square, round and shutter section, in black and in GI. HMB iGrill and HMB Grill Guard GI sit beside it on the same rack. Confirm the size along with the name, because not every size is in every line on a given day.
Kya aap size ke hisab se cutting karke dete hain?
Material goes out in the mill lengths it comes in, and the cutting is the workshop's own. Say the number of lengths you need on the call rather than the running feet, and tell us the vehicle that will carry it, because a 6 metre length and a tempo do not always agree.
Har hafte ka regular saman hai, kaise chalega?
Tell the counter what your standing sizes are and they get watched, so a repeat call is a shorter call. Rates are still confirmed each time, because they move; what does not move is that the sizes you take every week are the ones we keep depth in.
