Binding wire, cover blocks and waterproofing liquid: the small lines that go out on a vehicle something else booked.

Binding wire (tar), cover blocks and waterproofing liquid are what sits under this heading at Jay Shree Infra in Saharsa. None of the three builds anything by itself. Tar is the soft wire that ties a reinforcement cage, a cover block is the spacer that holds sariya off the shuttering so the slab gets the cover the drawing asks for, and waterproofing liquid goes into a mix or onto a roof. Dr. Fixit is the name on the liquid. The tar reaches us under Tata Tiscon and under Local. The cover block arrives with no maker's name on it at all.
These are also the lines a buyer forgets. A coil of tar and a pack of cover blocks will not fill a tempo and nobody books one for them, so they ride on the trip the sariya or the cement is already making. Who asks for them is usually not who costed the job either. Tar is remembered by the mistri tying the cage, the cover height comes off the structural drawing, and waterproofing gets added once somebody has looked at the roof. All three reach anywhere in Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura on a vehicle that was going out already.

What we stock
Three lines, and each one is measured by something different.
- Cover BlockThe spacer that keeps sariya off the shuttering, in concrete, cement or plastic, and in the cover heights a slab, a beam, a column or a footing takes. Give us the cover height off your drawing and we will confirm what is standing.
- Waterproofing Liquid (Waterproof Liquid)Dr. Fixit, for going into a concrete or plaster mix. The integral liquid and a terrace coating are separate products, so tell us which one the job needs and we will confirm the pack in stock.
- MS Binding Wire (Tar)Soft annealed mild steel wire, sold by the kilo and by the coil, made to IS 280:2006. That standard works in millimetre diameters from 0.125 to 12.5 mm and does not use gauge at all, so what is standing in which diameter is the call.
Brands
Brands we stock here
Two names cover this shelf, and neither covers all of it. Dr. Fixit is the waterproofing liquid, Tata Tiscon is the name on the tar, and the cover block carries no brand at all.
The tar we bill under the Tata Tiscon name does not tie back to anything Tata Steel itself publishes: the maker's own binding wire line is called Tata Wiron, and Tata Tiscon is its TMT brand. On tender work, check the marking on the coil and whatever paper travels with it. Tar also comes in under a supplier billed simply as Local, which names no company; ask on the call which one is standing that day.

Before you order
The number to give us is not a section size
Everything on the other racks starts with a size in millimetres. These three start somewhere else. Tar goes by wire diameter and coil weight, and most people ask for it by gauge, which is a different scale from millimetres and gets read two ways at a counter, so give us the diameter in mm wherever the mistri has written one down. A cover block goes by cover height, count and what it is going into, and the cover height belongs to the structural design and IS 456 practice, never to anything on our shelf. The liquid goes by pack size and by which system it is, because an integral waterproofer for the mix and a coating for a terrace are two different products under one name. Every brand that comes through the godown is on the brands page.
How much a job takes follows the steel
Tar and cover blocks are worked out off the reinforcement and not off the floor area, so the tonnage of steel going into the cage is where the count starts, and the sariya weight chart turns diameters and lengths into that tonnage. Kilos of tar per tonne of sariya, and blocks per square metre of slab, both change with how the cage is tied and how the shuttering runs, so we do not fix one number for either. The mistri tying the cage is the person who knows it for your job. Tell us the tonnage and the cover height and we will work out both counts on the call.
Questions
FAQ
Tar kitne kilo me milta hai?
Tar sells by the kilo and by the coil, and the coil weight moves with the pack, so we read out the weight of what is standing before anything is fixed. Have the gauge or the wire diameter ready, and how many kilos the cage needs. Call +91 6202 967 218 for today's rate; it is read out on the same call.
Cover block ka size kaise tay hota hai?
The structural drawing decides it. The cover a block gives is the cover the design has asked for, so read us the figure written on your drawing. The block itself comes in more than one form, a concrete or cement spacer, a plastic chair, a heavier block for footings, and which of those is on the floor that day is a call to us.
Chhat ke liye waterproofing me kya lena hai?
Dr. Fixit is the waterproofing brand on our racks, and the liquid that goes into a concrete or plaster mix is a different product from a coating that goes onto a finished terrace. Tell us which of the two the job needs, and the pack size, and we will say what is in. Performance numbers are Dr. Fixit's own to state; we do not add a figure of our own on top.
Ye saman gaon tak kaise aata hai?
On the vehicle the rest of the order is already on. Our own vehicles reach all 34 blocks of Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura, charged at the market rate for that route. With these three the thing to settle is timing and not the vehicle, so name them before the load is made up.

Add them to the call you were already making
How many kilos of tar or how many cover blocks your cage takes depends on how it is tied, so give us the steel tonnage on the call and we will put a count against it, then get it onto the vehicle that is already going.
