Jay Shree Infra is a Tata Durashine dealer in Saharsa and supplies Durashine colour chadra, CoolShield sheet, crimp sheet and purlin across Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura. Durashine is a colour coated steel roofing brand for the retail trade, launched in 2008. It began under the Tata BlueScope Steel name, and the company behind it today is Tata Steel Colors Private Limited. Everything is billed by us and loads at one premises on Meera Talkies Road.
Durashine publishes a long list of thicknesses, lengths and colours, and not every size is in every brand on a given day; call and we confirm what is standing. Length, thickness, profile and colour get confirmed on the call before an order is fixed. The whole roofing rack, painted sheet and cement sheet together, sits on the roofing and shed page, and the plain unpainted chadra beside it on the GC sheet page.
Under this name
What we keep in Durashine
Three sheets from the Durashine range, the purlin from LYSAGHT, the same company's second range, and the fibre sheet that shares the rack.
- Colour-Coated Roofing Sheet (Colour Chadra)The painted roof sheet, and the wall sheet beside it in a different width: the roof profile covers 1015 mm, the wall profile 1110 mm. Four painted thicknesses, 0.37, 0.47, 0.52 and 0.62 mm, and roof sheet lengths to 16 ft. Before you compare two quotes, ask whether the thickness number is base metal or total painted; the two read differently for the same sheet.
- Coolshield Roofing SheetThe insulated one: painted steel, a 5 mm insulation layer, and an aluminium foil face over that. Durashine publishes it in lengths up to 24 ft, where the plain roof sheet list stops at 16.
- Crimped Roofing Sheet (Mura Hua Chadra)The curved sheet for a barrel roof or a rounded canopy. Fabricators write it LL Crimp, the counter word is mura hua chadra, and Durashine prints it as LongLine Crimp: one sheet, three names.
- Purlins & Girts (Purlin)The cold formed C and Z sections the sheet screws down onto. Tata Steel Colors publishes them under LYSAGHT rather than Durashine, and the band below has the sizes. Depth, thickness, punching and length are what one is ordered on, and a drawing settles all four.
- Fibre SheetThe cement fibre roof sheet that shares this rack. Some call it one of the Durashine group products, but Durashine's own range is steel, so ask for fibre sheet by type, profile and length rather than by this name.
Durashine also publishes a Tile and a Liner sheet, which we do not keep, so a steel roof tile is not something to come to this counter for. Accessories in the sheet colours are published as well, and whether ridge, flashing or screws in a matching colour can be arranged with your order is a question for the call.
Reading the sheet
The mark is printed along the steel
Durashine's own FAQ says a genuine sheet carries a brand mark reading Durashine Tata Steel Colors on its surface, and that the printing does not rub off. On a painted roof that is the closest thing there is to a bundle tag, because a sheet with the ribs already rolled into it comes with no strap and no ticket on it. Read what runs along the sheet, read what the bill says, and bring us both if the two disagree.
A colour roof is not counted the way sariya is. Sheets go by the sheet and by area, crimp by the sheet or the running metre, and the purlin by the piece, the metre or the tonne. On a roof the two figures that decide the count are the cover width and the length; sariya has its own arithmetic on the sariya weight chart.
Two ranges
The purlin comes under LYSAGHT
Tata Steel Colors publishes purlins and girts as LYSAGHT, a separate range from Durashine on the same company's site. It gives CEE-plus, ZEE-plus and ZED-plus sections, depths from 102 mm up to 300 mm, thicknesses from 1 mm to 3 mm, and galvanised steel in G550, G450 and G350 grades with Z275 and Z120 coating masses. The design code named against them is AS/NZS 4600 and the steel standard AS 1397, which are Australian and New Zealand numbers.
So if a drawing or a tender names an Indian standard section, say that on the call before the order is fixed, because a cold formed purlin and a hot rolled channel are two different things to quote. Angle, channel and joist sit on the fabrication rack, and the sheet, the purlin and the screws that hold them together are listed side by side on the shed material page.
One bill
The roof's measure, the sheet's mark, the road
A roof order is settled by three things. What the roof measures, what is printed along the sheet, and what the last stretch of road to the site will take. Those are the questions that come back at you on the phone, in that order. The material is bought by us, billed by us and carried by us to all 34 blocks of the three districts.

Questions
Durashine ke sawal
Durashine ki sheet par Tata Steel Colors likha hai, aap uske authorized dealer hain?
Durashine is kept on a stockist's footing here: bought in on our own account, moved on our own vehicle, and billed from our own counter. The mark printed along the sheet tells you the sheet is the maker's, and the bill you get from us tells you who sold it to you.
Durashine ki chadra kaun kaun si motai me aati hai?
Durashine publishes four total painted thicknesses, 0.37, 0.47, 0.52 and 0.62 mm, and the same four cover its roof sheet, its wall sheet and CoolShield. Lengths are where those three part company: the plain roof sheet is published to 16 ft, the wall sheet to 14 ft and CoolShield to 24 ft. Give us the thickness and the length together when you ring, and what is in gets counted then.
Mura hua chadra banaya banaya milta hai ya naap par banega?
Durashine publishes ready crimped sheet in two typical curves, 273 mm and 469 mm, and says both depend on local availability. Past those two, a curve is made to the roof. Give us the radius, which way the curve turns, the length and the colour, and we will tell you what can be arranged and how long it takes.
Coolshield lagane se chhat kitni thandi rahegi?
Nobody can honestly promise a temperature drop for a shed they have not seen. What Durashine publishes is the build: painted steel, a 5 mm insulation layer and an aluminium foil face, in lengths to 24 ft. Height, ventilation and what is stored under the roof move the answer as much as the sheet over it does.
24 foot ki sheet gaon ki site tak pahunch jayegi?
Long sheet travels, and the limit is the road and not the vehicle. Our own vehicles run to all 34 blocks of Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura, tempo up to truck by the load. Tell us the village and what the last stretch of the approach is like, because a 24 ft sheet wants room to turn where a 12 ft one does not. Delivery is charged at market rates and the rest of the order rides the same trip.

Bring the roof's measurements to the call
Length, cover width, colour, and on a crimp the radius as well. Those four settle a Durashine order faster than the name on it does, and a sheet already up on the roof can be matched off whatever is printed along it.
