Cement is the bag every job here gets planned around, from the niv to the last coat of plaster. Jay Shree Infra stacks it at its Saharsa godown under six names, ACC, UltraTech, Nuvoco, Ambuja, Shree and MP Birla, with twelve bags between them. Thekedars pouring a slab, home builders going up one floor at a time, shed and godown work, and tender supply all draw off the same stack. It leaves here by the bori and by the tonne.
Cement is also the one material on these racks with a clock running on it. Sariya keeps; a bag that has stood through a Kosi monsoon will not pour the way a fresh one does. So it gets bought late and close to the pour, and the question that helps most at this counter is which day the dhalai is booked. Plenty of people here still ask for Lafarge and mean the Nuvoco bag, and the counter answers to both. Shop, godown and loading point are one premises on Meera Talkies Road, which the bazaar still calls Khagaria Wale.

- Ambuja CementThe Ambuja bag, the plain sack we stock under the name. Ambuja publishes several application products beside it, so an engineer who has named one of those has named something to check first.
- OPC CementOrdinary Portland Cement under IS 269:2015, which covers five grades, 33, 43, 53, 43S and 53S. Which grade a job takes is the structural drawing's call, not the counter's.

Six cement names come through this godown. Which bag of which name is stacked on a given morning follows the last truck in, so give us the brand and the bag together on the call.
Three of these get said here in an older form. Lafarge means the Nuvoco bag, Bangur is a Shree bag, and MP Birla comes out of Birla Corporation. For a house none of that changes what you are buying. For tender work it does, because the name on the invoice has to match the approved make list, so read us what the paper says before the order goes in.

The sack is the spec sheet
Cement type, the Indian standard it conforms to and the date it was made are all printed on the bag, and there is no second place to look them up. Two sacks carrying the same brand name can be different cement: the plain UltraTech bag is OPC on one pack and PPC on another, so read the marking rather than guess it from the name. OPC sits under IS 269:2015, which covers five grades, 33, 43, 53, 43S and 53S. PPC sits in the IS 1489 family, and the slag cement the Concreto bags belong to under IS 455. If an engineer has written a type on the drawing, read us the drawing and we will match a sack to it.
Cement does not wait, so buy it late
A bag carries the date it was made and it is worth a look, especially between June and September when everything in the Kosi belt is damp. Cement standing in a damp godown pulls moisture through the paper and goes lumpy, and a lumpy bag pours badly whatever the brand on it was. Buy for the stage you are at: the niv, then the columns, then the dhalai, then plaster. Stack what arrives clear of the floor, keep it covered, and send the older bags out first. Four things settle a cement load
The bag name, how many bori, the village, and the date of the pour. Cement is heavy for its bulk, so what a route will take is decided by weight and by the approach road, and the vehicle gets picked off those two. Sariya and cement load together on one trip, which is worth saying before two vehicles get booked. Cover blocks, binding wire and waterproofing liquid go the same way, off the accessories rack, and all three are one more line on the same call.

Cement bori ke hisab se milta hai ya tonne ke?
Both, and the basis gets fixed on the call before the figure does. A few bori for a lintel and a tonne for a slab are two different conversations at the same counter, so say which one you are on. We do not quote a number in advance, because the rate moves with the truck. Chhat dhalai ke liye kaun sa cement lena chahiye?
The structural drawing decides that, and where there is no drawing the mistri's specification does. What the shop can tell you is what is stacked: OPC, PPC and slag cement bags across ACC, UltraTech, Nuvoco, Ambuja, Shree and MP Birla. Read us the type the engineer has written and we will match it to a sack that is on the floor that day.
Ek bori me kitna cement hota hai?
The net weight is printed on the sack, and that is the figure to bill against. Reading it off the bag in front of you beats reading a number off any website, ours included. Order by bori or by tonne and both get confirmed before a vehicle is loaded.
Dhalai ke din tak itni bori pahunch jayegi?
The bori count picks the vehicle and the pour date picks the day it leaves, and both get settled on one call. Cement runs heavy for its bulk, so a hundred bori and a truckload are not the same load out of this yard, and the approach road has a say as well. We reach all 34 blocks of Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura in our own vehicles, charged at the market rate for that route.
