Plain is the word we use at the counter for the ordinary UltraTech sack; UltraTech does not print it on any bag. Jay Shree Infra stacks it at its Saharsa godown, and houses going up one floor at a time, thekedars booked for a dhalai, masonry and plaster work and tender supply all ask for it in that one word. A dozen bori for a lintel and a truck for a slab both go out under it, into Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura.
UltraTech's own homebuilder pages carry two ordinary types, OPC and PPC. It publishes OPC in four grades, 33, 43, 53 and 53-S, and publishes PPC with no grade against it at all. Which of the two is inside the sack sold here as plain changes with the truck that brought it in, and it is printed on the sack itself. Ask us and we will read it off the bag standing on the floor, or off the invoice when the order goes in. The other names on the cement rack sit one page up.
Pack and type
What is fixed on this bag, and what changes with the truck
How UltraTech Plain is packed, that the cement type is OPC or PPC depending on the sack, and how it is sold.
Scroll the table sideways to see every column
| Pack | Cement typeas printed on the sack | Sold by |
|---|---|---|
| Bagged cement | OPC or PPC | bag / tonne |
OPC or PPC is not fixed for the sack sold here as plain; it is printed on the sack itself and settled against the invoice when a load comes in. A rod has a diameter and an angle has a leg, one figure that holds for the whole size. A cement bag carries its type, its date and its weight printed fresh on every sack, so we read that off the bag in front of us. Ring with the count and we will say which UltraTech bag is standing that morning.
Kis kaam me lagta hai
Niv and footings, columns, the dhalai, masonry and plaster. One word covers the bag that goes into all of it on a house here. Builders, thekedars, project companies and tender supply draw off the same stack. Cement gets bought stage by stage, so an order at this counter is usually one stage of one house.
The mix and the drawing decide how many bori a slab takes. Bring the area and the mix to the call and we will work the count out with you. Sariya for the same pour rides on the same trip, so name both while the vehicle is still being picked.
Three UltraTech bags, and a word that is on none of them
UltraTech names Premium and Weather Plus as products on its own homebuilder pages. It names nothing Plain. We keep all three, and plain is simply what is left once Premium and Weather Plus are ruled out. Say only UltraTech on the phone and the first thing we ask back is which of the three.
OPC or PPC, and what a grade number tells you
The grade numbers belong to the OPC family. UltraTech publishes OPC in 33, 43, 53 and 53-S and publishes PPC with no grade at all, so a drawing that says 43 or 53 has already named a type without meaning to. Read that number out on the call and we will hold it against the sacks on the floor. Where there is no drawing the mistri's word settles it, and the shop does not talk over him.
Seven things settle which sack gets loaded
The brand, which of the three bags, the cement type where a drawing names one, how many bori, what the job is, the village, and on tender or project work the product the approved list actually carries. That last line is the one people leave out, and it is the one that decides whether the bill will be accepted at the other end.
Not every bag is in every brand on a given day, so the answer belongs to the morning you ask it. Cover blocks and binding wire come off the accessories rack on the same bill, so say those in the same breath and one vehicle covers the lot.
Brand
Who makes it, and what Plain means here
UltraTech Cement Limited makes it, and UltraTech is what the bag says. Plain is our shorthand for the ordinary sack, and wherever it goes onto paper the printed pack name has to go with it.
The word travels across the rack: ACC Plain and Nuvoco Plain sit beside this one, each maker's own ordinary sack under a word none of them prints. What is stacked under any of them on a given morning follows the last truck in, so give us the brand and the bag in one breath.

What UltraTech publishes
The maker's own pages for the two ordinary cement types, and for the bag it does name Premium.
Questions
UltraTech plain ke sawal
UltraTech plain matlab kaun sa bag?
The ordinary UltraTech sack, the one that is neither Premium nor Weather Plus. Whether it is OPC or PPC is printed on the bag and can change with the truck it came on. Say the count and the job on the call and we will tell you what is standing that morning.
UltraTech Premium aur plain bag me kya farak hai?
Premium is UltraTech's own published product name. Plain is the ordinary bag, neither Premium nor Weather Plus. We keep both. Whether a job was specified for the premium bag is on the drawing, or in what the mistri asked for, so bring one of those to the call and nobody here will push you either way.
Bill par bag ka poora naam aayega?
Plain is our own word and no maker prints it, so the bill carries whatever the pack itself is billed as. That matters most on tender and project work, where the approved list names a product and the bill has to show the same one. On a job like that we read the printed pack name off the bag and off the bill before the order goes in, and you get told what both of them say.
Cement ke saath sariya aur cover block ek hi gaadi me aa jayega?
Usually yes, one bill and one vehicle. Say the bori count and say who is unloading at the far end, because a house going up one floor at a time often has nobody there but the mistri, and cement wants hands the moment it lands. Sariya, binding wire and cover blocks ride the same trip. The vehicles are ours, the road in picks between the tempo, the tractor and the truck, and the carriage follows that route at the market rate.

Nobody prints the word plain, so read us what is printed
Three UltraTech bags come through this counter and what separates them is the line under the name, which is the one line the word plain will never be on. If a sack is already at the site, read that line out and the next load gets matched to it. If nothing has been bought yet, say the job and the count, and we will tell you which UltraTech bag is standing this morning and what it is going for today.
