What goes into it is fly ash most of the time, ground or blended with clinker and gypsum at the mill under IS 1489. Unlike an OPC sack, nothing on a PPC bag reads 33, 43 or 53; the standard classifies it by that pozzolanic material rather than by a strength number, and UltraTech's own PPC page confirms it, publishing no grade against the bag at all.

There is no dimension chart to draw for a cement bag, the way there is for a rod or an angle; the field that moves is the cement type printed on the sack, and PPC skips the grade number an OPC bag wears. Two units leave this godown with it, a bori at a time or a full tonne.

Masonry work climbing a floor at a time tends to draw the bori count down slowly. A single slab pour, or a quantity booked for a tender, tends to go out weighed by the tonne instead.
Kis kaam me lagta hai
Masonry, plastering and slabs with ordinary curing time are where PPC more often goes out from this godown. A house built a stage at a time, general civil work and residential construction all draw on the same PPC stack.
RCC work that wants a fixed, early strength number, roads, bridges and precast lean toward OPC instead; both bags sit on the same cement rack, and the job on the drawing decides which one is loaded.
Why a PPC bag carries no grade number
IS 1489 sorts a PPC bag by the pozzolanic material it carries, fly ash blended with clinker and gypsum at the mill in most cases, rather than by the strength grades IS 269 sets for OPC. UltraTech's own PPC page bears that out: it names the standard and stops there, printing no grade against the sack. Whatever the bag actually meets still sits printed on the paper itself.
Reading PPC off a bag this rack already sells
Every brand on this rack turns out both types once the sack is read: the same UltraTech plain pack can be PPC or OPC truck to truck, set by whichever grade that batch was milled to; see UltraTech Plain. Ambuja Cement is published in a PPC version alongside its OPC one; see Ambuja Cement.
MP Birla's own sack can turn up as PPC, OPC or PSC, and Shree Cement, billed here under Shree or the Bangur name, counts PPC among the four cement types spread across its seven packs; see MP Birla Cement and Shree Cement. A type standing on the floor changes brand to brand and day to day, so ring ahead of loading rather than assuming.
PPC is not the slag cement on this rack
Nuvoco's Concreto and Concreto Uno, also stocked here, are Portland slag cement under IS 455, made by intergrinding clinker with ground granulated blast furnace slag rather than a pozzolanic material. Both are blended cements, but PSC and PPC are two different types, and Nuvoco's own pages carry Concreto under the slag cement name, not PPC; see Nuvoco Concreto for what is published about that bag.

PPC cement ke sawal
PPC banane me clinker ke saath aur kya milaya jata hai?
A pozzolanic material, usually fly ash, ground or blended with the clinker and gypsum at the mill, under IS 1489. What comes out carries no strength grade number the way OPC does; the cement type itself, PPC, is what is printed on the bag.
PPC ke bag par bhi 43 ya 53 jaisa number chapa hota hai?
No. IS 1489 classifies PPC by the pozzolanic material used, not by a strength grade, so a PPC bag will not carry a 33, 43 or 53 the way an OPC sack does. UltraTech's own PPC page publishes no grade against its bag either.
PPC ghar ke kis kaam me lagta hai?

It gets the sack pulled quicker. UltraTech, Ambuja, MP Birla and Shree Cement all publish a PPC pack among their cements, and whichever one is standing this week is confirmed by reading the sack itself. Name a brand if the site already has one fixed, or leave it to us to check what is in.
Nuvoco Concreto bhi PPC hi hai kya?
No. Concreto and Concreto Uno are Portland slag cement under IS 455, a different blended cement from PPC even though both mix in another material besides clinker. Ask on the call if the job specifically wants PPC and we will point you to a bag that is PPC.
