Weight of one piece of sariya
One 12 metre piece of 8 mm sariya weighs about 4.74 kg, and one piece of 12 mm about 10.67 kg. Multiply the piece weight by the pieces you need and the whole order's weight is in your hand before you ring.

Small orders around here are counted, not weighed: twenty pieces of 8 mm for a chhajja, six of 16 mm for a column. The table below gives the weight of one full piece for every diameter from 8 mm to 32 mm, worked as the kilograms per metre times the 12 metres of a full bar. The per metre figures are the ones the sariya weight chart already carries, matched there against the nominal mass IS 1786:2008 prints in its Table 1, so a piece counted here and a tonne worked out there can never disagree. Sariya stands in more brands than one at the Saharsa godown, and no single brand holds every diameter on a given morning, so give the brand along with the size when you call.
A piece on this counter means a full 12 metre straight bar. SAIL gives 12.0 metres as the length in its SeQR brochure, and Shyam Steel calls 12 metres the standard length of its rods, so that is the length every figure below assumes. A cut piece weighs its own length times the per metre column, nothing more.

One piece is the per metre figure times 12, and the per metre figure is diameter times diameter divided by 162, the same working the weight chart publishes and checks against the standard's own Table 1. Ten pieces is simply that times ten, there for quick mental sums on a bigger count. 5.5 mm and 6 mm sit on the full chart with the rest of the range.
The one sum
From a piece count to kilos
Multiply, and stop. Twenty five pieces of 12 mm is 25 times 10.67, about 267 kg. Sixty pieces of 8 mm is 60 times 4.74, about 284 kg. Ten pieces of 25 mm is 463 kg, a job for a proper vehicle and not a thela, so the count picks the transport too.
The sum runs backward just as well. A mason asking for five quintal of 10 mm is asking for 500 divided by 7.40, which is 68 pieces once you round up. Round the pieces up, never the kilos down, and the slab gets the steel the drawing gave it. And if your pieces arrive tied, count the tie against the rods per bundle guide before the vehicle is unloaded.
One bar alone
How light a single piece may legally run
IS 1786 weighs steel two ways, and the one a counted order meets is the single bar. A bar checked on its own may come under the printed figure by 8 percent up to 10 mm, by 6 percent over 10 up to 16 mm, and by 4 percent above 16 mm, and for that lone bar the standard writes no plus limit at all. So one piece of 8 mm may honestly weigh about 4.36 kg against the 4.74 above, and one piece of 12 mm about 10.03 kg against 10.67.
A batch, meaning bars of one size and grade taken together, sits tighter, 7, 5 or 3 percent either way by the same bands, and what those bands do to a full tonne is already worked through on the weight chart. For a piece buyer the table is the expected figure, not a promise sworn on every rod, and where the bill runs on weight the weighbridge has the last word.

Sariya leaves here on a piece rate some days and a kilo rate on others, grade by grade and brand by brand, so ask which basis your size is on before the rate is settled. A piece rate times your count and a kilo rate times these weights make two different bills for the same steel.

Sariya ke 1 piece me kitna wazan hota hai?
It moves with the diameter alone, because the length is the same 12 metres. About 4.74 kg at 8 mm, 7.40 kg at 10 mm, 10.67 kg at 12 mm and 18.96 kg at 16 mm, on the per metre figures IS 1786 itself prints. Thicker than that, read the table above straight down.
10mm sariya ke piece ka wazan kitna hota hai?
About 7.40 kg for the full 12 metre piece, from 0.617 kg per metre. Ten pieces are about 74 kg, so a fifty piece order puts about 370 kg on the vehicle. A lone bar may legally run a little under that on the standard's own tolerance.
20mm aur 25mm ke ek piece me kitna wazan aata hai?
About 29.63 kg at 20 mm and 46.30 kg at 25 mm for the full bar. At these sizes even a single piece is a two man carry, so the count decides the unloading at the site as well as the bill.
50 piece sariya ka total weight kaise nikale?
One piece's weight times 50. Fifty pieces of 8 mm come to about 237 kg, of 12 mm about 534 kg, of 16 mm about 948 kg. The same multiplication answers any count in any diameter on the table.
Ek akela rod chart se halka nikle to woh kharab hai kya?
Not by itself. IS 1786 lets a single bar run 8, 6 or 4 percent under nominal depending on the size, and sets no upper figure for that one bar, while a batch taken together must sit within 7, 5 or 3 percent either way. One light rod on a small scale proves nothing about the load. The weighbridge across the full weight does.

The same count makes a different bill on each basis, so take the rate on the basis you will buy on.
Which brand should the pieces come from?
The weight is the same steel to steel. The grade, the tag and the day's stock are not, so the brand travels with the size on the call.
