MC reaches this counter on three heavy sections: channel, joist and beam, the rolled steel a shed frame, a godown door frame, a platform or a roof truss gets built on. Jay Shree Infra keeps it at the Saharsa godown beside SAIL and Shyam Metalics on the same rack, and our own vehicles carry it out to Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura. The rest of that rack is on the structural steel page.
MC is also how a channel's own size gets written on this rack. A line such as MC 100x50x5 sets out the depth, the flange and the web together, the way every mill in the country writes a channel, and the same twelve designations are on the channel page. On a channel order give us all three numbers with the name; joist and beam never carry MC in their own sizing, so on those two the letters mean only the brand.
What we keep
Three sections under one name
Channel, joist and beam all reach this counter as MC, on the same heavy rack as SAIL and Shyam Metalics.
- ChannelMC channel is counted against the same twelve designations as the rest of the rack, from MC 75x40x4.8 at the light end up to MC 400x100x8.8 at the heavy end. Give us the depth, the flange and the web together and we say what is standing under this name.
- JoistMC joist is quoted against the same twelve nominal depths as the rest of the rack, 100 mm through 600 mm. More than one rolled series can answer to one depth, so bring the series letters off the drawing where it carries them.
- Beam (I-Beam)MC beam runs the ISMB series we keep, ISMB 100 up to ISMB 600. Say the designation with the name and the section is settled in one line.
Sold by the piece, by the kilo or by the tonne. Not every size is in every brand on a given day, so call and we confirm what is standing under this name.
What it's for
Shed frames, platforms and heavy fabrication
Shed and godown frames take most of what leaves this rack under the MC name, along with platforms, machine bases and the heavier members of a roof truss. Workshop fabricators, thekedars running a shed job and project contractors working to a drawing all pull from the same stack.
Channel carries a frame's edges and its door openings, joist and beam carry a span once an angle has stopped being enough. Which of the three a job wants, and how the weight runs from the lightest section to the heaviest, is worked through in the channel vs joist vs beam guide.
How it's ordered
Give the whole designation, not just a depth
A channel wants three numbers together, the depth, the flange and the web, because more than one section can share a depth on that list. A joist wants a depth and, where the drawing carries them, the series letters, because more than one rolled series can answer to the same depth too. A beam in the ISMB series is the plainest of the three: the number alone names one section.
Say the section with the MC name in the same breath, and how many pieces or what tonnage, and we check what is standing under this name. Not every size sits in every one of the three names on our rack, SAIL and Shyam Metalics included, on a given day.
Delivery
Our own vehicles, to all 34 blocks
MC channel, joist and beam load at the one premises on Meera Talkies Road and go out on our own vehicle, tempo to tractor to truck by the weight and length of the piece, across all 34 blocks of Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura.
A rolled section runs to about 10 to 12 metres and will not turn every corner, so tell us the village and what the approach road is like before the load is made up. Carriage for that route is charged at market rates.
Questions
MC ke sawal
MC naam se channel, joist aur beam teeno milte hain?
Yes, all three heavy sections reach this counter under the MC name. Channel is called out in one line, the depth, the flange and the web together, such as MC 100x50x5. Joist and beam are counted against nominal depths, and joist wants the series letters as well where the drawing gives them. Say which of the three you need and we count what is standing under this name.
Channel ke naap me MC likha rehta hai, wahi MC brand hai kya?
Sometimes it is the brand and sometimes it is only a number. MC 100x50x5 is the way every mill in the country writes a medium channel's own size, the depth, the flange and the web. MC is also one of the three names on our heavy rack, beside SAIL and Shyam Metalics. On a channel order say the three numbers with the name; on a joist or a beam order MC only ever means the brand, because neither of those two carries MC in its own sizing.
MC ka structural steel order karte waqt kya batana padega?
The section and its full designation: for channel the depth, the flange and the web, for joist the depth and the series letters where the drawing carries them, and for beam the ISMB number. Add how many pieces or what tonnage, and the village the load is going to. Not every size is in every brand on a given day, so we confirm what is standing under this name while you are on the call.
MC ka channel ya beam gaon tak pahuncha dijiyega?
Yes, to any of the 34 blocks of Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura. It loads at the one premises on Meera Talkies Road and goes out on our own vehicle, tempo to tractor to truck by the weight and the length of the piece. A full mill length runs to about 10 to 12 metres and will not turn every corner, so tell us the village and what the approach road is like, and carriage for that route is charged at market rates.

Give us the designation off the drawing
Channel wants the depth, the flange and the web together; joist wants the depth and the series letters where you have them; beam wants the ISMB number. Give us that with the count and the village, and we tell you what MC has standing and what it goes out at.
