A cover block is the small spacer set under the sariya and against the side shuttering, so the bar stands off the boards and the concrete closes all round it. Jay Shree Infra keeps them at the Saharsa godown and delivers across Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura in its own vehicles. Cover block covers four forms under the one word: a concrete or cement spacer, a plastic chair, a wheel spacer, and a heavy duty block for footing work.

Everything else on this rack is ordered by a size of its own. A cover block is ordered by a gap. The height of the block is the cover the concrete gets, and that figure belongs to the structural design, so it reaches us off your drawing and it changes between a footing, a column, a beam and a slab in one building. The tar that ties the block into the cage, and the rest of this shelf, are on the hardware and accessories page.

Sizes

The cover height is a drawing figure, not a stock chart

Cover block comes in concrete, cement or plastic, and it sells by the piece and by the pack. The figure that decides an order is the cover written against that member on the drawing, and what is standing against a given height changes with the job, so heights are not listed here.

Ring with the figure off the drawing and we will say what is on the floor against it, in which form, and how it packs.

Kis kaam me lagta hai

Slabs, beams, columns and footings. Wherever a cage is tied, blocks go under it and beside it before the pour, and the block that spaces a house slab in Saharsa spaces a column in a school building or a road structure the same way.

Thekedars running a dhalai, home builders doing one floor at a time, builders, project companies, tender work, and road and bridge work all order cover block off this shelf.

  • Type, cover, count, and what it is going into

The call on a cover block order turns on four things. Type is which of the forms you want, cover is the height the drawing gives, count is how many, and the fourth is the member it is going into, since the heavy duty footing block is kept apart from the rest. Give all four in one go and the call is a short one.

  • It goes in once and it stays in

A cover block is the one thing on the order that is meant to be swallowed. It is tied into the cage, the concrete closes over it, and from that morning on it is part of the slab. Its height cannot be adjusted afterwards and the block cannot be taken back out, so the figure is worth reading off the drawing twice before a pack is opened.

  • No maker's name reaches this shelf

A cover block carries no brand at all, and where a brand would sit it is billed as local or supplier. No strength figure, no load rating and no weight comes with it either, because all three belong to whoever cast the block. What is left to go on is the form, the material and the height, and all three are in your hand at the counter.

Questions

Cover block ke sawal

Cover block plastic wala lein ya concrete wala?

Both reach this shelf: concrete or cement in the cast spacer, plastic in the chair and the wheel. Which of them is standing on the day you ring is what the call settles. Say the cover height and the member it is going into, and we will read out what is in against it.

Ek slab me kitne cover block lagenge?

There is no fixed count. Blocks follow the bar layout, so the number comes off the drawing and the spacing your side is tying to, and it moves with every cage. Give us the figure you have worked out and we will say how it packs.

Drawing me likha cover aur block ki height, dono ek hi cheez hain?

Yes, and that is what you are buying. The height of the block is the cover the steel gets, so the block is picked to the figure written against that member. Cover itself comes from the structural design, which means the shop neither sets it nor can change it.

Cover block kis brand ka aata hai?

Kisi ka nahi. A cover block carries no maker's name; it is billed as local or supplier. If a tender on your side asks for a make against the item, tell us before the pack is booked, and we will say what the pack in the godown carries.

Cover block piece me milta hai ya pack me?

Both. Cover block sells by the piece and by the pack, so a small repair can take a handful and a slab takes packs. How many a pack holds moves with what came in, so we read that off the stock before anything is fixed.

The figure that settles this order is on your drawing

Read us the cover written against the member you are pouring, say whether that is a footing, a column, a beam or a slab, and say how many. What comes back is which forms are standing, how they pack, and today's rate. Everything else on that load can come back off it. This one cannot, once the concrete is in.
