Lenter (Slab)
Lenter is the cast concrete slab over a floor, and in this bazaar the word also names the stage of a house build itself: a family says the house has reached lenter the way it says the house has reached roof.

A lenter goes up the same way every time: sariya tied into a cage on the shuttering, then cement poured over it in one continuous dhalai, the type on the bag read against the drawing before the mixer starts, OPC, PPC, Portland slag or composite. Once the pour is on, the cage cannot be reached again, so the diameter and the cement type are both fixed before that day and not after.
The word travels through the whole build. A thekedar quoting a house counts the niv, the walls and the lenter as three separate stages, and each one draws a different mix of sariya, cement and cover blocks off the same rack.
