Durgapur TMT is sariya rolled in the Durgapur belt of West Bengal, where SAIL's Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) and a number of private mills all roll bar. It is a place name on the bundle, not one company's brand, so the mill behind a given lot is read off the bar itself. Jay Shree Infra sells it from the shop on Meera Talkies Road in Saharsa and takes it out to Supaul and Madhepura.

More than one mill rolls in Durgapur, SAIL's Durgapur Steel Plant among them, so the two words tell you the belt and not the maker. The maker's name is on the bar itself.

A licensed bar has three things rolled into it
Three things are rolled into a licensed TMT bar and repeated along its length: who made it, the grade, and a six digit BIS number. Where the bundle names no mill, that is where to look for one, and a cut piece still carries it. From 8 mm upward the ISI mark belongs on the bundle under a BIS licence, and a certified consignment travels with a test certificate carrying that mark, the cast number, the grade and the size.
So on this name the three worth asking for are the mill, the cast or heat number off the tag, and that certificate, in writing where a tender names an approved make. Below 8 mm the Quality Control Order does not reach, so a 5.5 mm or 6 mm bundle with no mark on it is not short of anything, and the whole of that sits on the TMT Bar (Sariya) page. Durgapur TMT kis mill ka sariya hai?
The name is the belt, not the mill: Durgapur has SAIL's Durgapur Steel Plant and private mills rolling bar, and a lot can come from any of them. The mill's name, the grade and the BIS number are rolled along the bar, so read those off the steel or the bundle tag. Where the job needs a mill named on paper, ask us for the test certificate before the order is fixed.
Durgapur TMT kaun kaun se size me pada hai?
Sariya comes in ten diameters at our shop, 5.5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 28 and 32 mm across all the names together, and not every size is in every brand on a given day. Give us the diameter with the grade when you ring and we will tell you what is in under this label.
Tender me approved make maanga hai, Durgapur TMT chalega?
Take it as a no until a mill is named. An approved make list and a mill test certificate both go by the manufacturer's registered name, and this label carries neither. Tell us on the call which make the tender asks for, and we will say which of the names on our rack can go against it with the papers.
Durgapur TMT ka sariya gaon tak pahuncha dijiyega?
Yes, anywhere in the 34 blocks of the three districts. It loads at the one premises on Meera Talkies Road and rides on our own vehicle, tempo to tractor to truck by the weight of the load. Sariya travels long, a full bar being 12 m, about 40 ft, so name the village and say what the approach is like at the end of it. Carriage is charged at market rates.
