Jay Shree Infra is a Balmukund TMT dealer in Saharsa and takes this sariya out to Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura. Behind the name is Balmukund Concast Ltd., a limited company since 1995, with a registered office on Hungerford Street in Kolkata, a manufacturing unit at Bihta and a branch office on Exhibition Road in Patna. Under this name we keep the bar and only the bar, bought on our own account and sent out from Meera Talkies Road.

What we keep
Balmukund sariya, Fe 500 to Fe 600+
One product under this name: the TMT bar, in the three grades Balmukund rolls.
Balmukund also makes CTD and CRS bars from 6 mm to 32 mm, TOR steel and MS ingots. From us, only the TMT bar comes under the Balmukund name.
The three grades
Where each grade starts, and where all three stop
Balmukund publishes three size ranges for its bar, one to a grade, and they open in different places. Fe 500 starts at 8 mm, Fe 550 at 10 mm, Fe 600+ at 12 mm, and all three stop at 32 mm. So a drawing asking for 8 mm in Fe 550 is asking for something Balmukund does not roll, and it costs less to know that before the order than after.
The grade is settled first on any sariya order and the diameter does not settle it for you. What each Fe grade means, and the two small sizes the ISI rule leaves out, are on the TMT Bar (Sariya) page.
The weight table
Two weights against one diameter
Balmukund's specification table carries four numbers against every diameter: the ISI nominal weight per metre with the tolerance band that belongs to it, then Balmukund's own weight per metre with a band of its own. At 8 mm the two weights read 0.395 and 0.375 kg per metre; at 20 mm, 2.47 and 2.41; at 32 mm, 6.31 and 6.235. In every row the mill's band is the narrower one and sits inside the ISI band beside it.
The same table gives the pieces the mill puts in a bundle, twelve at 8 mm and one at 32, and the metres of each diameter that make a tonne, 2,531 at 8 mm and 159 at 32. To check a load against the slip it came with, the sum and the tolerance under it are worked out in the sariya weight chart.
Two names on one order
The brand on the tag, the company on the mill certificate
The bundle tag says Balmukund TMT; the company behind it is Balmukund Concast Ltd. In a house that difference costs nothing. On a tender it can decide whether a bill is accepted, because an approved make list and a mill certificate go by the manufacturer's registered name, so ask us to read that name off the invoice before the file goes in.
Balmukund holds an ISI licence to make TMT bars by the thermo mechanical treatment process, and its own licence statement quotes IS 1786 : 1985. The edition in force for TMT today is IS 1786:2008, the one the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, S.O. 3716(E) of 29 August 2024, covers, and every TMT bar we sell, Balmukund's included, is judged by it. What a consignment is judged by is the mark rolled on the bar and the certificate that travels with the load: read us what is on the tag and we will tell you what we hold against it.

Balmukund me 8 mm ka Fe 550 sariya mil jayega?
Not from Balmukund: it opens Fe 550 at 10 mm and rolls 8 mm only in Fe 500. Give us the grade and the diameter in the same breath and we will say what is in and what can be arranged. Inside those ranges, not every size is in every brand on a given day; call and we confirm what is standing.
Balmukund apne bar ka weight ISI wale se kam kyun chhapta hai?
Both figures are Balmukund's own and both sit on one row of its table. The ISI nominal is the standard's figure for that diameter, 0.395 kg per metre at 8 mm, and the second column is the weight the mill works to, 0.375. Each carries its own tolerance band, and in every row the mill's band is the narrower one. If a rate you have been quoted turns on a weight per metre, say which figure it was worked on.
Tender ke kagaz par Balmukund ka manufacturer naam kaun sa likha jayega?
Balmukund's own site writes the name in more than one form: Balmukund Concast Pvt. Ltd., Balmukund Concast Ltd., and Balmukund TMT Ltd. Balmukund TMT is the brand on the bundle tag. Take the registered entity off the invoice and the mill certificate, not off a website: ring us before the file goes in and we will read it to you exactly as printed.
