Six hundred is the part of the label a buyer reads first, and a number in that position usually means a grade. IS 1786 lists Fe 600 as a grade. It lists no grade called NXT 600, and Fe 600 and NXT 600 stay two separate entries here, not one.
A grade is settled by the tag and the test certificate, and on 8 mm and above by the ISI mark under a BIS licence. All three are set out on the TMT Bar (Sariya) page. Where a tender names an approved make, raise this label before the order is fixed, since a name with no mill printed against it is the hardest of the three to clear.
The other NXT
NXT is a word more than one company uses
Three letters settle nothing on their own. Kamdhenu, which does publish a site of its own, sells a TMT line it calls Kamdhenu NXT, and a separate line here is billed as NXT 600 TMT with no maker attached. One word, two different lines, kept apart on purpose. The NXT on this strap is not read as Kamdhenu's line, because nothing ties the two together.
