A roofing exhaust fan sits in the roof itself, cut into the sheet or the ridge, and turns on a motor to pull hot air, fumes and stale air out through the roof rather than through a wall or a window. That is the whole job of it: air moving up and out, not blowing anything in. Jay Shree Infra fits it into sheds going up in Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura, against the roof and the motor the shed actually needs, and it goes out on the same vehicle as the roofing sheet it is set into.
This is the motor driven kind, an axial exhaust fan, and it is a different thing from a wind driven roof turbine that spins on its own with no motor at all: what we stock here is the motorised fan, so say motorised on the call if that is what the job wants. The roofing sheet it sits in is on the roofing and shed page, along with the purlins and girts that carry the roof around it.
Sizes
No single fan stands for every shed
One roof does not need what the next one does. A shed holding welding fumes, a poultry house holding heat and ammonia, and a warehouse holding still, stale air each want a different airflow, and the fan and the motor that answer that are picked against the shed, not off a fixed list.
Ordering one goes through the same eight lines every time: fan type, size, airflow, motor, the roof profile it sits in, the fittings that go around it, and the quantity. Bring the shed's size and what it is holding to the call and the fan and the motor get matched against them.
Fittings around the fan are usually a mounting frame, flashing where it meets the sheet, a hood, louvers, fasteners and a rain cover. Not everything is standing in every size on a given morning, so a call is what confirms it before anything is ordered.
Kis kaam me lagta hai
Factories, warehouses, workshops, poultry and dairy sheds, and any hot work area where the roof has to move air out rather than trap it. A welding bay wants fumes gone. A poultry shed wants the heat gone. A godown wants the stale air moving so what is stored under the roof does not sit in it.
How many fans a roof needs, and how big each one is, is a question the shed's size and what it holds decide together, and that is worked out on the call rather than guessed at the counter.
Motorised, not the wind driven kind
A roof turbine spins on wind alone and needs no motor and no wiring. What we stock here is the other kind, a motor driven axial fan that pulls air out whether the wind is moving or not. If a job's drawing says turbine or ridge ventilator instead of motorised fan, say so on the call before anything is ordered, because the two are not interchangeable.
Airflow and motor are matched to the shed, not to a chart
The airflow a shed needs depends on its volume and on what it is holding, heat, fumes or just still air, and that number is usually set by whoever designed the shed rather than guessed at a counter. Where no drawing exists, tell us the shed's size and what goes on inside it and we work the fan and motor size out from there.
A bigger motor is not automatically the safer choice. The roof, the curb and the wiring all have to carry what the fan asks of them, so the fitting decides the ceiling as much as the fan does.
